A Trusted Profile (Profil Zaufany) is a free, secure online tool that allows you to verify your identity digitally. With a Trusted Profile, you can handle most official matters without printing documents, signing paperwork, or visiting offices in person. It serves as a digital identity document, enabling you to sign electronic documents with a signature that is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature (for public entities).
How to Create a Trusted Profile?
To create a Trusted Profile, you need a PESEL number. If you already have one, visit the official government website: pz.gov.pl.
- Using Electronic Banking (Online Method):
If you have a bank account with one of the following banks: Alior, Pekao, BOŚ, Millenium, Getin, Envelo, Crédit Agricole, BNP Paribas, ING, PKO, BS Brodnica, Santander, mBank, Inteligo, or BPS, you can create a Trusted Profile from home.- Go to pz.gov.pl and scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Select Załóż Profil Zaufany i potwierdź ONLINE.
- Choose your bank and log in to your electronic banking system.
- Your bank will forward your personal information to the Trusted Profile system.
- In-Person Verification (Confirmation Point):
If you don’t have an account with one of the supported banks, you’ll need to verify your identity in person at a Verification Point.- Visit pz.gov.pl and scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Select Załóż Profil Zaufany i potwierdź W PUNKCIE POTWIERDZAJĄCYM.
- Enter your login details, personal information, and contact information.
- Choose a Verification Point and visit it within 14 days to confirm your identity.
Important Information About Trusted Profile
- Memorize your username and password for convenience.
- Do not share your login details – your Trusted Profile contains sensitive personal data that only you should access.
- Your Trusted Profile is valid for 3 years and can be easily extended for another 3 years.

Go to pz.gov.pl, click Zaloguj się (Log in), then select Nie pamiętam hasła (I forgot my password). Enter your username and PESEL number, and you’ll receive an email with a link to reset your password.

3. I changed my phone number. How do I regain the ability to use it as an authorization method?
There are two ways to update your authorization method:
- Extend Validity of Trusted Profile:
Log into your account, click Profil zaufany > Mój profil zaufany > Złóż wniosek o przedłużenie ważności, and visit a Verification Point within 14 days to confirm your identity. - Link to Electronic Banking:
If you’ve updated your phone number in your bank’s system, link your bank account to your Trusted Profile by clicking e-urząd > Załóż profil > Załóż nowy profil zaufany on your bank’s website.
4. Can I create a Trusted Profile if I didn’t select the option during my PESEL application?
Yes. Register on pz.gov.pl, enter your login, password, and details, and visit a Verification Point within 14 days with proof of identity.
